Why did you become a hair stylist?
I became a hair stylist because I would always do hair for everyone in the neighborhood growing up. I did hi lights through a cap in my driveway at 16 years old. Root touch ups and hair styles for friends, etc. When I graduated high school I got a job in business and marketing then got into the recruiting and tech industry. I always did hair for fun on the side and one day I decided "What am I doing? Why am I not following my passion and doing what I LOVE FOR A CAREER?" So I signed up for cosmetology school at 25 years old and the rest was history.
What is your favorite thing about the beauty industry?
I love what I do and I can't even imagine doing anything else in my lifetime. I love to be a salon owner, inspire other stylists and attend hair shows and classes. This industry changes daily and it's been so exciting over the past 10 years as a professional to watch things evolve. This is ART. My specialty is color correction and rainbow hair coloring.

Some advice for clients about hair care, color, style, or anything else you want your clients to know?
PLEASE listen to a professional. PUT DOWN the BOX DYE. Don't hesitate to ask questions and make sure you fully have an understanding of what your stylist is doing for you. Always use heat protection before heat tools. Don't worry about washing your hair to get it colored, we clarify pre color service anyways. Please refer your friends if you love what's on your head. Word of mouth is everything to us. Lastly, before you go to someone else call your stylist if you aren't satisfied and allow her the opportunity to adjust something or fix it, then you two can build a relationship and you can trust she has your best interest in mind always. Going from stylist to stylist doesn't do well for your hair because no two stylist are the same in how they do things or what they use. It is better to perfect what you want with one person rather than trying to hop around town and never be fully satisfied. We want you to be happy and we are here FOR YOU.
